Hello? (taps microphone)…is anybody out there? I’m used to a live audience, but am very excited to introduce myself to a virtual one. Finding a little corner on the web where I can share my journey, stories, parties and events and hopefully inspire a few of you along the way is why I’m here. While I’ve had a bit of an online presence for about a year and a half now, I’ve finally decided to branch out more with a blog to connect with more of you.
I’m Elissa Stone, and those of you who know me will agree that I kind of march to the beat of my own drum. A little bit quirky, a little bit silly, usually going against the grain, but doing everything with a lot of passion and heart. Originally from New York, I come from a musical theater background, which gives me a whole world of inspiration to pull from for designing events. When I am not creating beautiful parties and events, I am spending time with my ‘awesome husband’, ‘beautiful son’ and 3 rowdy fur babies-more on all of them later.
My goal is to ‘keep it real’ here. I will show you the good, the bad and the ugly in party styling. It’s the stuff real parties are made of. If there is anything I’ve learned from all the wonderful blogs I follow, it’s that people like to know you’re human. I promise you, I am. Plenty of mistakes happen to even the best of event designers. I think you will get a kick out of seeing the party bloopers. And of course, there will be tons of eye candy to enjoy as well.
This post would not be complete without a shoutout to the one who made it look so fabulous! Michele from Intrigue Design Studio did a fantastic job. She was very patient and really listened to what I wanted for both my branding and my site (she also created my beautiful new logo)! Thank you so much, Michele!
Now I’d love to know more about you, so please tell me something about yourself and of course, if you have any questions for me, please ask in the comments section and I’ll answer as honestly as I can!
I’d also love to know, is there anything you’d like to see or know more about the party world that you are not currently finding online? What types of segments would you most enjoy reading about here?
